(Note: Only students who meet the above criteria will be allowed to 'walk the stage' at graduation.)

Graduation Celebration
Graduation at M.L.C. is a special time. Graduates select a teacher who generally personalizes a diploma presentation while students have a chance to speak about their high school (or more) years at M.L.C. There is usually a Senior Slide Show and a reception following.

Students receive their diplomas, their Certificates of Initial Mastery as well as their portfolios of work from their high school years. The MLC Parent-Student-Teacher-Association awards a $500 scholarship to one outstanding senior or graduating junior.

It's been a tradition in former years that the ceremony and reception is organized by parents of 9th, 10th and 11th grade students so that senior parents can enjoy the evening. The Assistant Principal, students and parents begin meeting in March to organize this important event.

Certificate of Initial Mastery (CIM)
We want each of you to get your CIM at graduation. Let's beat last year's class. (Rah! Rah!)

Take your CIM information sheet, which we are handing, out today to your teachers and see what you can do to finish off your work. Each of the high school teachers is responsible for a certain piece of the CIM.

Beginning this year, students can earn a 0.5 elective credit by completing all of the requirements for the CIM!!
